Reflection:
I think that he is saying he believes after working so hard something great will happen because of all of his effort he put in. An example of what might happen because of his hard work is becoming a famous basketball player or becoming very involved with his church.

-Brigham Young

Reflection:

I think Brigham Young is trying to say that if you are doing whats right youll be free to do what you want to do. An example is choosing the right because you're doing the right thing and that can give you independence and freedom.

Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports that a cheater. Don't do it.

Student Success Statement
“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports that a cheater. Don't do it.”
-George Mitchell
Reflection:

This quote is saying that cheating is bad and nobody likes a cheater. He is also saying how the pain you'll have for the rest of your life for cheating is not worse than the short term gain of winning and being the best. You don't need to be the best in order to feel good about yourself. If you want to be the best and cheat at it then you won't be the best inside knowing that you cheated and lied.

“Character Matters Most”
-Dale Murphy
Image result for dale murphy
Reflection:

I think that this quote means the only thing that matters about you is your character. It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, or if you have a good job. The only thing that matters is if you have good character which means you are humble, trustworthy, kind, and an overall good person.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day
1. Who was St Patrick?
Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland.
2. What is the purpose of St. Patrick's Day?
St. Patrick's Day celebrates the Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland.
3. Why is St Patrick's Day designated and when is it?
This Irish holiday is always celebrated on March 17, which is the day that Saint Patrick died.
4. Why a certain color on St Patrick’s Day?

St. Patrick's revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn't wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers.

Student Success Statement
“Great beauty, great strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds all.”
-Benjamin Franklin

Reflection:

This quote is saying that nothing matters more than having a great heart. You can be very beautiful, very strong, very rich but have a bad heart and you won't be anything. All you need is to have a good heart and you are already a great person and of great use.

Student Success Statement
“It may only be all eternity whether we do right or wrong today.”
-James Freeman Clarke

Reflection:
I think that this quote is saying that the way you act in one day can change your life and many others forever. An example is going to college. This is an example because if you go to college and graduate, you can get a good job and this will positively affect you and your family. Another example is choosing to do drugs. This is an example because you can get addicted and then you will bring harm to your family and yourself because of the way it can make you act and all of the chemicals that there are in drugs.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it”

Student Success Statement
“The best way to predict your future is to create it”
-Charles Ketterer
Image result for the best way to predict your future is to create it
Reflection:

This quote is saying that if you visualize what you want to do in the near future and start trying your best to achieve them you will be the way you want to be and your future will be the way you want it to be. An example is if you want to be a doctor in the future a way to start creating your future is to get good grades and go to a medical school to start studying to be the doctor you want to be. A bad example of this quote is if you keep saying that you want to be rich and start visualizing yourself rich but don't work hard at all then you won't be creating your future.
