This quote means that character is higher than knowing everything or being smart. Your character is what matters most. Being a CTR person 24/7 is a lot better than being the smartest person because you're doing what's right. Being intellect doesn't mean you're not a good person but being a good person is a lot better than being smart. One way to have good character is to be a nice and loyal person. You also should be doing everything that's right and say the truth.
